First of all- super easy to reach with your car! It's located on the main road, and it's very easy to drop off your luggage or find parking nearby (we found one really close, but I know there are a few parking garages around). It's located mere few hundred meters from the city center and the old town. Everything was reachable by foot and we didn't have to move our car at all! The rooms themselves are brand new and stunning. We were given a free upgrade to a deluxe room and it was amazing! Super clean and spacious. The staff were also very very nice and accommodating. A big shout-out to Vasilis, who gave us fabulous dinner recommendations, helped with planning our day, and the next morning even got there extra early to make sure we have time for breakfast since we had to leave early!! He was so nice, he really loves his job and it was important for him that everything went perfectly. Overall- really 10 out of 10!

We had a great time in Ioannina! The hotel was cozy, everything was clean and pleasant! We are grateful to the staff for their kind and friendly attitude. They prepared coffee and breakfast for us for our trip back home. Hope to come again! :)

Nice location. Very friendly staff. Very nice breakfast. Very personalized treatment. Very good quality-price ratio. Spacious room. Small hotel; not suitable if you want anonymity.

Wow, we liked absolutely everything. The location is absolutely perfect, at the center of the center. The hotel is stunning, beautifully designed, from the lobby and all the way to the rooms. It smells great, even the elevator, and the smell of fresh coffee that takes over the entire hotel in the morning ☕️😍 The room was perfectly clean, beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable. Lovely city view, awesome showand bathtub, and everything was super comfortable. Staff has been lovely, so kind and helpful. In the morning, a batista named Vasilis welcomed us with a huge genuine smile on his face and served us coffee and an amazing breakfast, which was such a good start for our day. Exceptional experience. We'll be back for sure!

We initially decided on this hotel due to its proximity to the city center. It turned out to be a great stay. The rooms were spacious, elegant and most importantly, spotless. There were two available parking locations for anyone traveling by car at two different price levels, both of which were very close to the hotel. The receptionist, Vasilis, was also very helpful and gave us plenty of advice on how to best experience Ioannina.

Hotel Metropolis is in the center of Ioannina. No better location - walking distance to the lake and surrounding area, teeming with eateries, restaurants and cafes, and, in the other direction, the shopping district. Parking is nearby, at (a reasonable) extra cost. We were welcomed by our jovial hosts / receptionists, who went overboard to make our stay a pleasure, including their serving of a whatever-you-want breakfast with fresh juice, eggs, greek yoghurt, peeled fruit plate and a smile. We ordered tea, one evening, and it was offered to us free of charge. Small details, but they count.

Great beautiful place to stay, but really not 5 stars. rooms comfortable and clean, but no coffee machine, small tv no Netflix option, internet very bad. breakfast to simple.

Easy to locate and convenient parking near the hotel. Warm welcome on arrival when we found out we'd got a complimentary upgrade as it was our anniversary so much appreciated. Vangelis was extremely knowledgeable on the surrounding areas and gave us plenty of detail on places to eat/drink on our evening out. Lovely surprise to find "towel swans" on our bed ... very romantic :) Breakfast was delicious and generous, served by the polite and helpful Vassilis who also gave us bottled water for our onward journey. Altogether a wonderful stay in a gem of a hotel - will definitely be going back soon !!

I spent two nights at Hotel Metropolis with my husband as a base for visiting Ioannina, a very interesting town. The hotel, a deco building carefully and tastefully restored by the grandson of the original owner, is beautiful and immaculate and the staff incredibly kind and helpful. We were upgraded to a luxury room with a bath and a separate shower and it was serviced every day. The breakfast, a la carte, was very good and abundant. The hotel is right in the centre of town, so private parking in a nearby little side road was an invaluable bonus.
